Summer 2007. The Grand Hall of Glasgow’s City Halls - home to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Members of the McGarryBowen team fly in en route to further Chevron shoots in Spain and South America. We have a 60-piece orchestra for the day to record the track.
In charge of engineering and mixing the recording session is Rupert Coulson of London’s Air Studios - a phenomenal producer who has worked with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Sir Elton John, Paul McCartney and Danny Elfman.
We have scored the full 4 minute track, as well as various cutdowns. Additionally, there are also numerous mnemonics for Chevron to have as sonic brand triggers - always better to record too much than too little…
