ITV and IWC Media commissioned director, writer and filmmaker James Runcie to film JK Rowling as she completed the final book in the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows”. He was allowed exclusive access to her life for the year leading up to the final book being published and launched around the world. The highly anticipated book launch was filmed simultaneously in ten different countries.
As one of the most famous writers in the world, JK Rowling’s books have been translated into 65 languages and sold over 350 million copies worldwide. This was the first time that unprecedented access had been granted into the woman behind the famous boy wizard. We learn of JK Rowling’s past, childhood, hopes, fears and plans for the future - a unique opportunity to get to know the real JK Rowling.
