JK Rowling: A Year In The Life Of...
- The Boy Who Lived…
- “Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!” - Dumbledore
- The final chapter…
Having worked with director James Runcie previously, Rage Music were thrilled when approached to work on this project. Due to the nature of the hour long documentary - namely the fact that the ending to the Harry Potter series was so highly guarded from fans and press - it meant that whilst in production the programme was only referred to as “Project X” by all those involved.
Non-disclosure agreements were signed, and only 9 people in the world knew about the project. So high was the level of secrecy that, when musicians and vocalists were hired and recorded, all contracts and sheet music only referred to as “Project X”, with the performers having no idea what programme they were recording for - a slight problem as we normally conduct the music to picture!
Recording sessions took place in both Glasgow and London in November 2007, including sessions at the renowned Angel Studios.
