Only true lager aficionados (and pub quiz champions) know that Stella Artois was originally brewed in Belgium in 1926 as a Christmas beverage, being named Stella from the Latin word meaning ‘Star’.
The Christmas Star idea was the focus of Stella’s festive advertising campaign in 2008.
